Gio's Pizza

Gio’s Pizza is a new Neapolitan pizza joint opening in Toronto, Canada. They came to me looking for a full brand built from scratch. something bold and characterful that would immediately set them apart in a crowded food scene. Their goal was to create a brand that felt authentic to their Italian roots, but with a modern, playful twist that would appeal to Toronto’s young, design-conscious dining crowd. They wanted a logo and identity system that would be just as memorable on a pizza box or t-shirt as it would across signage, menus, and social media.

The brand identity takes inspiration from classic Italian pizzerias while injecting a contemporary, tongue-in-cheek personality. A chunky, custom logotype carries retro flair while remaining instantly legible, and a series of illustrated pizza icons add warmth and charm. The palette is built on rich tomato red and creamy beige, echoing both the ingredients and the cosy nostalgia of traditional pizza culture. Supporting patterns, bold typography, and expressive layouts extend the brand across packaging, merchandise, and digital channels, ensuring Gio’s feels vibrant, cohesive, and highly shareable.
